DAY ELEVEN, Musreau Lake

Twas much easier to get moving from the hotel room. I got on the bike by 6am.  I caught the tail end of the sunrise and enjoyed several hours on the road without any rvs.

The early start was also key, cause it got kind of hot about 2 when I was pulling into my campground, Musreau Lake.  It's a little busy here with families, but it is a beautiful spot.

Oh! I almost forgot. It was a bit surreal today when it seemed to be snowing while the air was 60.  The cottonwood fluff was quite heavy today.
Shortly after finishing the above text and my dinner, another bikepacker popped into my site and inquired if I minded he set up his tent in the same site.  I nodded assent and he introduced himself as Arthur.  He is just trying out bikepacking this weekend and planning to get to Grand Cache.  During my stay in the camp, a few people had stopped by and asked me about my trek.  Well, while Arthur and I were chatting another one stopped by and invited us to dinner.   I never can have enough calories on these adventures.   So, I said, "sure!" and discovered all the random people were all part of the same three generations of a Canadian family.  They were incredibly friendly and we enjoyed some good vittles, conversation, wine, and a gasoline assisted fire.  Thanks, Peter and family!!
